Time flies...

...when you're having fun! We're approaching Marin turning 5 months old. Looking forward to introducing rice cereal soon, she's attempting to sit up on her own, rolling over like crazy and playing with her toys. It's so cute to see her reactions and personality. She's a very intuitive little girl. She thinks a lot more than she babbles. You can see her little thought process. She doesn't glance at something and look away...she studies it. She especially studies Riley. He's not really phased by her. She is the best baby. So content, so easy. (I may regret saying that someday!) She is still sleeping all night, and really is only fussy when she's hungry. As you can tell, she doesn't have a problem growing :) She's about 17 pounds now! She loves bath time and her goofy Daddy. (Certainly a Daddy's girl in the making). She also loves sports on the TV which is often in our home and it makes Tim rather proud. Marin is fond of Elmo and Sesame Street. I'm not wild about her liking the TV...but, she genuinely likes it and gets excited. She really is just a ball of fun and we are enjoying her so very much. We're especially looking forward to her first Christmas :) The last picture posted I took today while I was folding laundry. She's so funny because she loves her blankies and burp cloths. She likes to have one to hold on to while she's sucking on her binkie especially. She really loves it when it's close to her face. So, here she has strategically placed the burp cloth and was as happy as can be while I folded laundry. Reminded me of a Where's Waldo puzzle....One of the others was her and I napping - a personal favorite. 1. I love naps and 2. it's just cute and cuddly. My Mom and Dad got her a Bumbo as an early CHristmas present and she's really taken a liking to it. So...the other pictures are of her playing in it and lastly, in her vibrating chair one morning she was watching me as I decorated the tree. Her and Riley sat together and watched the entire time. Couldn't resist posting that picture too :)

~4 months ~

I'm obviously not good at keeping up to date on posts... :)

Marin is doing wonderfully. She had her 4 month shots and check up earlier this week. She does well with the shots (I've heard horror stories). It breaks my heart to see and hear her cry...but I remind myself that it's MUCH better than the alternative. Vaccinations AND Teething isn't a good combination. Poor little babies! She still slept all night and it didn't keep her from playing...or rolling over! She rolled over a few weeks ago but it was a one time deal....and, I was at work :( But now, as soon as you put her on her back she rolls to her belly. She gets her arm stuck and sometimes gets frustrated but, she's becoming a fan of "Tummy Time". Her check up went really well. She definitely has eczema which she will most likely grow out of - I'm just glad it doesn't bother her. She has the most sensitive skin. So, no fun baby bath stuff for now...we're fragrance free. But, her skin has improved so we're pleased about that. She is above average in length, weight and head circumference. She is 15.6 lbs, 25.5 inches long and 42.5 cm around her little round head. Dr. was very pleased with her growth since she was a wee little one at birth. She hasn't met a bottle she doesn't like! We get a kick out of her growth, development and discoveries. She is now grasping on to toys well and grabbing and batting at them. She's holding her head up well and laughs when you kiss up her belly. She can be a talkative little girl too. Looking forward to introducing rice cereal at the end of the month and soon after veggies and fruits. She is still sleeping well through the night typically 9 pm -6 am. She LOVES Sesame Street - especially Elmo. I don't love having her watch TV - but...she genuinely likes it. She kicks her feet and wiggles her arms and babbles at the TVwhen it's on. And, when it's over..."Waaaaaaaah!!" We're looking forward to her first Christmas and are excited to go shopping for her....even though she doesn't have the slightest clue about it....Below are some pictures that are long over due....Enjoy :)

3 months already?!

Marin is surprising us daily with new sounds, and new discoveries. She cracked us up today with her first giggle...we even had the video camera ready. If I knew how to post it on here I would...did it before, but can't remember how now! She is beginning to feel her teeth come in - that's another new adventure. Thank goodness for Hyland's Teething Tablets. She is beginning to roll over - but she gets ticked when her arm gets stuck under her. She recognizes Tim's voice on the TV (there is a picture of her watching him below). She is such a good baby and quite happy - unless she is hungry or has a dirty diaper. But, that's warranted! She is still sleeping through the night and with Mommy having to go back to work - her and Daddy have been bonding and having fun watching Sesame Street and dancing around the house to songs off of You Tube. She is learning to talk up a storm (when her hands aren't in her mouth) and she's drooling a ton. I look forward to seeing her every day after work - in my opinion, that is when my day really starts. Some days after work we go for a run - other days we come home and play and make dinner for when Daddy comes home. She is such a joy and it's hard to imagine what we ever did before the days of Marin!

Our Little Beach Bum

Marin went to her first birthday party yesterday. It was pretty warm outside, so I dressed her as cool as possible. That, and she's very warm blooded. I dipped her feet in the pool there which looked warm and refreshing...she didn't think so! She cried and wasn't too fond of it. But...she looked pretty cute in her little beach outfit! She is so very well behaved, didn't fuss once and we were at the party for about 4-5 hours. GOOD JOB Marinny!

She's a growing girl!

Sacked out, she played too hard.
This was taken before the sleepy picture above. She is smiling. She loves this chair! It sings and vibrates.

We can't seem to get enough of these smiles! She is smiling a lot more - especially when we talk to her. It's so much fun to watch her grow and change. But a little sad at the same time as I've had to pull all of her newborn clothes out of the closet and drawers, she hit the 2 month and 2 week mark and they just don't fit her length wise. My reality check was about a week ago when she couldn't stretch her legs out straight in her footy pajamas because they were too short :) She's beginning to giggle a little - can't wait for that to turn into those funny belly laughs. She doesn't really nap at all - maybe 15-20 mins here and there...BUT...she sleeps ALL night!! 10pm-6am usually. This makes Mommy and Daddy vvveerrryyy happy! She's holding her head up better these days and is just a ball of fun...I'm going to miss her like CRAZY today when I go into work for a little bit...just wait until next week when I begin working full days....At least she will be with her Daddy...Really, I'm going to miss the both of them!!
